CLASS MEETING RECORDING
Thank you for your participation in last week's Collaborate session. The recording is available now. Simply go to http://bit.ly/bert-voffice-recordings and scroll to the bottom of the list.

Our next class meeting is on Monday, Sep 8, from 6-8 pm. Sign in by 5:45 pm to do an audio test.

COURSE WEB SITE
We are adapting Blogger for use as our course web site. It is an experiment to determine how well Blooger, originally created as a blogging service, might serve as a typical course web site.

You will receive an invitation this week to join the site as a member to post comments on various web pages. You will need to use your Google account (OTHER THAN your Hawaii.edu address) to log in.

NB: You are currently viewing this document on the course web site. You might want to bookmark the site: http://ltec642.blogspot.com

REFLECTION BLOG
In order to achieve deeper learning, start a blog to reflect, once each week, on your learning and experiences in this class.

For details and guidance, see the following pages:
http://ltec642.blogspot.com/p/reflection-blog.html
http://ltec642.blogspot.com/p/reflective-blog-writing.html

PERSONAL INTRO & COMMENTS
Complete and post a link to your reflection blog to the course web page. Add a short commentary along with the link to your intro: http://ltec642.blogspot.com/p/your-personal-introduction.html

Briefly review the multimedia intros posted by your peers. Add a comment to 4-5 of the videos reviewed. Spread out your comments among your peers so that everyone will receive 4-5 comments. Be sure that your post is "nested" below the intro you are commenting on. (NB: Click 'Reply' to add your response to any comment.)

Your comments should be professional, substantive and clearly understandable. 1-2 well-written paragraphs will suffice. Minimize social commentary and avoid use of slang. If necessary, provide links to appropriate references.

SOCIAL MEDIA DEMOGRAPHICS
Talk with 5 to 8 colleagues, friends or relatives. Interview then informally about their social activities. Compare and contrast your findings with the references provided from the Pew Internet Research Project.

Create a Google document (or Google presentation) report. Summarize your findings in 250 words or in 5-10 slides. Provide a clear concluding statement in your summary.

For details, see the course web page, Social Media Demographics: http://ltec642.blogspot.com/p/demographics.html
